Utility: addin not showing up in Outlook

This article describes how to repair the installation of our Outlook add-ins, so it is intended for the users of Bells & Whistles, Easy Mail Merge, Auto Reply Manager, Auto Follow Up, Weight Diet.

It does not apply to any other / 3rd party add-ins.

Since the most frequent support request refers to missing an add-in toolbar from Outlook, we developed an add-in utility designed to repair the installation of our Outlook add-ins.

Missing add-in symptoms

The add-in is installed in Windows (you can see it listed in Windows Control Panel -> Programs), but the add-in toolbar is missing from Outlook.

Why is the add-in not showing in Outlook?

There can be many reasons why an add-in may get disabled: there might be a conflict with a 3rd party add-in, there might be an over-zealous email protection system that conflicts with the add-in, there might simply be too many add-ins loading with Outlook and slowing it down to a point where it decides to disable some and so on.

How to fix it

Here is what you have to do:

1. download our utility from this link;

2. exit Outlook and run the downloaded utility;

3. look for the add-in that you want to repair and select it: once you select it, you will notice a new button called “Fix it”;

4. click on the “Fix it” button, then exit the utility and restart Outlook.
The missing add-in should now be showing correctly in Outlook.

The add-in repair utility is designed to work with all Microsoft Outlook versions for Windows.
